Inside The Blind Barber

The Blind Barber

Last night i went to this really cool bar on East 10Th Street , which from the front and by day is a working traditional barbers and by night must be the only barbers in town with a bouncer where you walk through the shop with the clippers, scissors and mirrors and all still on the side, to a sliding door at the back and into the delights of a vintage cocktail lounge, for the rare moments in life where you require the service of both a hot shave and a dry martini!

On my way home yesterday i came upon this Ice Swan just left on the side of the road, people were stopping and staring thinking that there had to be a catch, but being in New York just these few days I have begun to realise that nothing is out of the ordinary when your in New York!

Flatiron Building

The flatiron Building was designed by Chicago's Daniel Burnham and completed in 1902. At the vertex, the triangular tower is only 6.5 feet (2 m) wide, standing in out in the block like formation of New York seperationg the heavy traffic on broadway either side. This building is a unique an iconic and an easily recognizable symbol of the city.
Fact- When the building was firt built locals took an immediate interest in the building placing bets on how far the debris would spread when the wind knocked it down.
